How to Join Commercial Photography

If you are wanting to learn how to take photos with professional grade cameras such as Canon 7D, Canon 5Ds and Canon T6i, then Commercial Photography may be the class for you. You'll learn the basics of photography in Commercial Photography I such as the rule of thirds, aperture, shutter speed, ISO and how it all balances using the exposure triangle. Commercial Photography II will incorporate everything you learned in year one and will evolve into creating photo projects using Adobe Photoshop. After you complete your two years in Commercial Photography I & II, you will be eligible to join the Commercial Photography Practicum course which is a block class (6th & 7th period) that is in charge of creating The Eagle Yearbook. You will incorporate everything you have learned so far and capture photos, design yearbook pages, write short stories, interview students/staff, shoot and edit videos, and create memories for an entire school that will last a lifetime. As a member of the Commercial Photography team, you will also be eligible to join the Skills USA photography competition which takes place every Spring.
