Ten MHS FFA Students spent the week participating in the Agricultural Science Fair, leadership workshops, and gained valuable experiences by participating in business sessions, voting on official ffa items of business and electing the new State officer team. Mission High School FFA is the largest FFA Chapter in the Rio Grande Valley FFA District which qualified Mission High School to have the largest number of voting delegates from the Rio Grande Valley FFA District at this year's texas state ffa convention.
Our students were also fortunate to hear multiple motivational guest speakers, retiring state ffa officer speeches and Governor Gregg Abbot addressed the students and encouraged everyone to work hard, set goals and not allow any obstacles to get in their way as they make their dreams become a reality.
Mission High School FFA officers and members have spent the majority of the summer working on projects, attending leadership camps, and a diverse range of activities at the Texas State FFA Convention. These members will utilize the leadership skills they have gained over the summer to plan and organize another successful year for new and returning FFA members at Mission High School.
