MHS HOSA BLOOD DRIVE
The Rio Grande Valley blood supply is a little stronger, thanks to the Mission High School (MHS) Health Science and HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America). They organized a blood drive recently that resulted in the collection of 86 units of blood.
“The real heroes are the donors,” said Johanna Jimenez, HOSA reporter. “They are the ones that give up a pint of blood that helps save three lives.” Based upon three lives per unit donated, the 86 units of blood donated will help save over 250 lives
