MHS Choir Advances.

Our TMEA Region/Pre-Area choir audition was this past Saturday at Rowe High School. We are proud to announce that Nathan Cavazos, Tenor, has earned a place in the TMEA Region Mixed Choir and is also an alternate to the pre-Area choir. Alixiz Garza (Alto 2) and Maria Pruneda (Alto 1) also auditioned and are both 1st alternates to the Region choir. We are proud of these students and their hard work and dedication throughout this difficult process.

FFA visits King Ranch

A group of Mission FFA members that are currently enrolled in Wildlife Management recently got their Texas Hunter Education Certification, Today they had the opportunity to tour The King Ranch which is over 850,000 acres and learn about a variety of wildlife species and see them in their natural habitat.

Congratulation UIL Academics for placing at Sharyland Invitational meet.

In Calculators Applications, Gabriel Rodriguez took 1st place and Maielah Davis took 2nd place in the 9th grade division. Alejandro Hernandez took 5th place in the 11th grade division and Alyssa Garza took 5th place in the 12th grade division. Congratulations to the students and their coach, Miss Chapa. Congratulations also go out Gabriel Rodriguez took 7th place overall in Number Sense. In Mathematics, Lisa Garza took 4th place and Gabriel Rodriguez took 5th place. Congratulations on a job well done to the students and their coach Miss Aleman.
Congratulations also go out to Marco Flores who took 6th place in Persuasive Speaking. Marco is coached by Mrs. Guerrero.

Boys Basketball Club Fundraiser

The Boy’s Basketball Club will be selling t shirts for our fundraiser with a pre-sale beginning Tuesday October 17th and ending Friday October 20th. T shirts will be maroon dri fit short sleeve with the attached logos and will be sold for $18. & other high school teens at the 2nd Annual Border Book Bash held at Weslaco High School. Their day was filled with amazing & informative author sessions, chat with authors, and were each given a free book to have signed by an author of their choice!
