The Student by Student Technology and Leadership Conference is being hosted by the Region One Education Service Center at the McAllen Convention Center today and tomorrow, April 11-12.

Three separate presentation teams are sharing their knowledge. The Speaker Chips presentation shares how someone can build a sound speaker from recycled objects. This is presented by Farith Elvira and Raul Hernandez. Another team consisting of Anahi Florez, Mya Belton, Eli Anzaldua, and Samuel Garcia are presenting sessions showing how virtual reality can be used in teaching humanities in the classroom. Building and programming robots is explored by team members Isla Coronado, Emily Barragan, Carlos Hernandez, and Gaby Reyna.

Region One ESC indicates the Student by Student conference is designed to help develop students as leaders of their own future in the area of technology and leadership innovation. Students work on creativity, collaboration, communication skills, and get to expand upon critical thinking and problem solving processes.
