A total of six students at Mission High School (MHS) have earned AP Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievement on AP (Advanced Placement) exams.
The College Board’s Advanced Placement Program provides motivated and academically prepared student with the opportunity to take rigorous, college-level courses while still in high school, and to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both for successful performance on the AP exams. The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement based on students’ performances on AP exams.
Students qualify for the AP Scholar Award designation by completing three or more AP exams with scores of 3 or higher. The AP Scholars from the Class of 2014 are: John Diaz and Miguel Reyna-Bravo. The current MHS seniors who have earned the AP Scholar Award are (pictured left to right): Carolina Briones, Violeta Rivera, Jasmin Vega, Eri Longoria.
