At the TMEA Area G Honor Band contest today, the Mission High School Wind Ensemble earned 5th place in a contest consisting of 6A high schools south of San Antonio. One of the 5 judges even placed MHS 1st place in their rankings. This is the first trip to the area round for any MCISD band in high school or junior high ever and to place this well is a great honor. MHS even placed above multiple bands that advanced to the UIL State Marching Band Contest this past Fall season, showing the level of growth our students have experienced this year. We can’t wait to get back to the grind in July and take the next step as a program representing our school district with pride. Way to go Mighty Eagle Band!
