Based on the performance at UIL of the 2018-2019 Mission High School Wind Ensemble, they qualified to the pool of groups eligible for advancement to the UIL State Wind Ensemble Festival. We are proud to announce that the Mission High School Band is one of only 18 groups in the state across all classes to be selected to perform at UT-Austin in May at the 2020 UIL State Wind Ensemble Festival. The tireless efforts of our student musicians continues to reap rewards.
The Mission High School Wind Ensemble is the Varsity concert band made up of select members of the Eagle Band. Attached below is last year’s ensemble whose performance led to the qualifying for state this school year. The band will travel to Austin to perform and compete on May 9th at the Bates Recital Hall at The University of Texas at Austin’s Butler School of Music.
