Integrated Physics and Chemistry (IPC) (Period 2nd )

Course Description

IPC integrates the disciplines of Physics and Chemistry at the introductory level. Topics studied include: force and motion; waves; energy transformations; properties of matter; changes in matter and solution chemistry. Students conduct field and laboratory investigations, use scientific methods during investigations and make informed decisions using critical-thinking and scientific problem solving. This course is designed to enhance the knowledge of the student(s) in order to complete state standards. Students taking this class will be expected to meet the minimum requirements to pass the class.  Students will be expected to be self-motivated, self-disciplined, and be an active participant in the learning process.  The outlines that follow will detail the grading policies, criteria, projects, supplies, and a summary for this course.
