8th Period Chemistry Assignments

You must watch the You Tube videos on identifying chemical reactions. Each video is approximately 1-3 minutes. Click on the link to access these videos.

PART 1-identifying reaction, be VERY SPECIFIC when you list proof that a chemical reaction has occurred AND the APPEARANCE OF FINAL PRODUCT.

PART 2 You must complete the word equation. The videos will give you the word equation so pay close attention.

Part 3- Complete the equation using the formulas AND balance these equations. Number one has been done for you as a demo.

Type in your name and email address where indicated (5 points each). If you do not fill in this information, it will be counted incorrect.

This assignment is worth TWO grades. Part of the assignment requires you to use the link: http://www.teachchemistry.org/bonding and navigate through the website to answer questions.

EXTRA CREDIT: This assignment is for extra credit and will replace a zero or add points to an assignment for the 5th six weeks. This assignment is strictly optional. Have a good weekend.

Test your knowledge on the Electron configuration. Please fill in the first two questions: Name & Email. You are given points (5 each) for these questions.

Answer the following question on the attached sheet.

There are 3 sections. Please make sure you complete all sections before submitting. Once you submit, it cannot be re-submitted.

Watch the 15 minute video on the atom & the periodic table. Complete the worksheet while watching the video.

Reminders:
1. Do not do the learning packets that were sent out by the school district unless I emailed you and informed you to do so (some students are doing the packets, I've already informed you if you are).
2. Please try and keep up with your assignments. Starting this weeks, assignments turned in will be entered into Tyler grading system. If you do not complete/turn in assignments, your grade on Tyler will reflect zeros/ averages earned on these assignments.

4. If you are turning in completed assignments, upload these to Google Classroom. If you are having issues, you may take a picture of your completed work and email it to me using the above email address.
5. You may use KAMI to type in your answers to worksheets without downloading the worksheet to pdf. Saves paper!
