Students who are currently enrolled in the first of its kind Career Tech Early College Academy selected an area of specialization from Diesel Technology, Precision Manufacturing Technology or Welding Technology.
The group who visited STC on Friday, November 21, 2014 are currently enrolled in the Precision Manufacturing Technology courses at Mission High School. Along with other Career Tech Early College Academy students, they have completed the Apply Texas application to participate in Dual Enrollment courses at STC during the spring 2015. They have also been exposed to the Reading section of the Texas State Initiative Assessment.
Mission High School and South Texas College are partnering one of five Career Tech Early College Programs in Texas. Ms. Mary Aleman, Administrator shares that, “Early College programs offer incoming freshmen an array of experiences to begin their career exploration and/or their specialization”.
