On Tuesday April 15th, the Mission High School Symphonic Band attended the UiL Concert Contest and Sight-reading competition in La Joya, Tx. Under the direction of Armando Rodriguez, the band achieved the highest scores, receiving Division 1 ratings from all the judges in both stage performance and sight-reading performance. From what our records show, this is the first time the Symphonic band has received straight 1 ratings in at least 18 years. Congratulations to the Symphonic band members and to everyone involved in our quest of excellence.
