MHS Mariachi Members Perform With TMEA Region 15 Mariachis
This Past Weekend two Mission High School Mariachi Members had the honor of performing with the TMEA Region 15 All-Region Mariachi’s. They were Carolina Gonzalez 11th Grade Vocalist and Brandon Flores 11th Grade Flute student. These students were chosen to participate with the Region Mariachi after participating in an audition in November, in which they competed against several Mariachi Students from Roma to PSJA. Carolina Gonzalez earned 1st Chair and was a featured vocalist for the Region 15 Mariachi Group A, who’s guest Conductor was Miguel Guzman, an educator in the San Antonio area and is a member of Mariachi Los Galleros. Brandon Flores earned a position in the Region 15 Mariachi Group B, and was conducted by John Nieto Lead Mariachi Instructor of San Antonio ISD.
